Statue of a Muse - Marble
Roman period. second centuly AD
Height 170 cm - 67" inches
Found: in 1994

This muse is represented with her weight on her right leg. Her left shoulder is slightly higher than the other. Her head is leisurely turned to her right and inclined towards the shoulder. A slight pathos is given to the expression on her face. The mouth is shown almost open. Large eyebrows make complete arches above round eyes. Her hairstyle is in harmony with the lines of her face. Above the forehead the hair is separated into two and arranged on both sides in irregular curls. Close to her ears on each side two deep furrows are placed. She has a rather complicated drapery of three pieces which are secured on her shoulders by small buttons or buckles.

NOTE: Statues are reproductions of original statues.
These statues are made of a dolomite powder, titanium powder & others.
This mixture gives statues an antique outlook and a texture as same as marble gives.
The originals of these statues are exhibited in several museums.
