Antique Sword of gird on - Aprox. 1780

Title: Sword of gird on.

Description: Adorned with infinity of small steel polyhedrons, in size diamond, encased. The hilt is recovered with a spiral solid of grooved iron, alternating with another hairspring of golden metal that presents a wavy relief. The pommel and the guard are emptied and soaked. Although the time has darkened the one polished of the iron, they still come off reflections of the cuted, as if of true diamonds is. The leaf is of three edges with strong "vaceos" and in its first third, it maintains the blued bluing of origin, standing out the decorations and incisions on gold. The rest of the leaf is polished.

Time: Aprox. 1780

Origin: Probably England or France.

Conservation: Very good. It doesn't present marks. Without sheath.

Observations: It was in that time when the work in iron, incorporating the tiny pieces of iron facetado, it reaches their best artistic quality, being applied to jewels, steels or deluxe objects. They were several the European countries that practiced during some few years this art, being good known the English and French works.
